Elder Chris Crouse – Ecclesiastes 3:3-4

In Ecclesiastes 3 Solomon penned a wealth of wisdom regarding the seasons that we all encounter in our lives.  He reminds us that we are to do good and remain faithful throughout these many seasons, especially in the hard times. Elder Chris focuses his attention on Ecclesiastes 3:3-4.  He explains that in order to draw closer to the Lord, there will be some purging in our lives.  We have to give up some of the pleasures of the flesh, such as self-righteousness, and gain Christ which is far better.  During the difficult times, we can lean on Christ for comfort.  And we can turn our attention to the blessings we have received and look forward to the blessings to come.
