Elder Chris Crouse – Epistles Of Christ

Elder Chris begins in 2 Corinthians 3 where the Apostle Paul frequently found himself having to reaffirm to the Corinthian church that he was called to be an Apostle.  And in verse 3, the Apostle Paul says:  “Forasmuch as ye are manifestly declared to be the epistle of Christ ministered by us, written not with ink, but with the Spirit of the living God; not in tables of stone, but in fleshy tables of the heart.”  Elder Chris points out that in the act of regeneration, God removes a stony heart and replaces it with a heart of flesh, and that the Lord has created a new covenant where His law is not written in stone any longer, it is written in His people’s hearts, and not dependent on them.  While the child of God, being epistles of Christ, is evidence that God is the author of eternal salvation and it is secure, we are encouraged to live our lives as examples, as we may be the only Bible that some people read.
