Elder Chris Crouse – Glory In The Lord
Elder Chris Crouse preaches from 1st Corinthians 1:27-31. He reviews several biblical examples of where the Lord uses the weak to confound the mighty or where God takes foolish things of the world to confound the wise. These examples are actions that men may not have chosen themselves, but Elder Chris reminds us that God’s ways are successful. His ways do not fail.
He goes on to highlight 1st Corinthians 1:30 “But of him are ye in Christ Jesus, who of God is made unto us wisdom, and righteousness, and sanctification, and redemption”. Elder Chris preaches on the Lord’s wisdom and His perfect plan of salvation. He reminds us we have no righteousness of our own, but that our righteousness came in the Lord Jesus Christ.
Next he outlines how God separated His people before the foundation of the world. God’s elect were set aside into His family through sanctification. Lastly, He was made unto us redemption. We were purchased with a price and adopted into the family of the Lord Jesus Christ.
