Elder Chris Crouse – Three Gardens

Elder Chris begins reading in Genesis 2 where God created all things.  In the garden of Eden we find perfection, tranquility, peace, happiness, and joy.  But after the fall, Elder Chris explains that Adam’s offspring were then made in man’s image and not God.  He then turns to John 18 where the Lord Jesus Christ was nearing his death and entered into the Garden of Gethsemane, which means an “oil press”, pointing to what Jesus would later go through.  In Song of Solomon 4 he reads of a garden that is a picture of the church and reminds us that some sweet day, we will be with the Lord, a garden more perfect than Eden.
