Elder David Crawford – His Image
Elder David begins the 2021 July Meeting. The religious elite asked Christ if it was lawful to give taxes to Caesar. They set up a yes or no question. But Christ knew they tempted him and he asked for a penny and what image was on it. When they said Caesar he said to render unto Caesar what is Caeser’s, and to God what is God’s. Elder David points out that Christ could not even produce a day’s wages. But he took on our image of sin so we can bear His image. Elder David charges us to let go of power, success, comfort and recognition, and bear His image daily.
