Elder Mark Quarles – The Family

Elder Mark turns to Ephesians 5 where we find that the Lord has ordained an authority structure for the home.  The husband is the head of the household and wives are to submit themselves, even as Christ is the head of the church.  Christ is the example of the head, the standard that all husbands should look to.  He humbled Himself, became a servant who loved his bride and bowed down to wash their feet even knowing they would forsake Him within hours.  Elder Mark proclaims that this is how we are to love our wives and our children.  May we be faithful to our husband, Christ Jesus, as we wait for His return.
