Elder Marty reflects on his Appalachian roots as a child, laying in bed afraid of what might be out in the dark. While these fears of the world can become overwhelming at times, we are encouraged through knowing that God is always with us. We are reminded that as Peter walked on water he began to look at the wind and the waves of the sea instead of Jesus. As a result, he began to sink. Elder Marty encourages us to lay aside the fears of this world and to look to the Lord. Despite all the toils and trials of the world, no matter what we do, the Lord is always there.
