Elder Mike Roberts – The Pastor's Joy

Elder Mike begins in Philippians 1:1-7.  The theme of this book is joy.  And Elder Mike proclaims that what we have in Jesus Christ is pure joy and examines why Paul begins addressing the church this way.  Back in Acts he explains that God sent a man, and he found a group of people in prayer.  This is the first part of a pastor’s joy.  The second is when his people would come to him, knowing their sins, and ask what can be done to partake in the joy here on Earth.  Elder Mike encourages us to not only pray for our pastor, but our church and our nation as well.
