Elder Chris Crouse – Last Words of David

Elder Chris begins this sermon with the last words of David and then takes a look at his life offering many lessons for our own walks. He examines David’s respect, honor, and patience. How he was not afraid to stand for what was right in the sight of the Lord. But David was just a man, and found himself in the wrong place at the wrong time. He conducted vain attempts to cover his sin, but the Lord sees all, and many troubles came to David’s house as a result. In his last words found in 2 Samuel 23:5: “Although my house be not so with God; yet he hath made with me an everlasting covenant, ordered in all things, and sure: for this is all my salvation, and all my desire, although he make it not to grow.” Elder Chris explains that while our sins cause us to miss out on many blessings in our lives, we have an everlasting covenant that is sure and steadfast and that hope of eternal salvation should be all of our desire.
