Elder Chris reads a passage regarding the birth of Christ and focuses on Luke 2:7: “And she brought forth her firstborn son, and wrapped him in swaddling clothes, and laid him in a manger; because there was no room for them in the inn.” When the author of the universe came into this world, there was no room for him. When Jesus preached in the synagogue and told them that the prophecy of Isaiah had come to pass that day, there was no room for Him in the city. Elder Chris explains his astonishment that having ownership of all things, Jesus came to this world to be rejected and despised. He encourages us to make room for Christ in our lives by going to our prayer closet each day, by attending church, by reading his word and to visit one with another. The more room we make for Him the more He comes in.
