Elder David Crawford – Facing The Furnace

Elder David preaches from Daniel where Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego would not bow down to King Nebuchadnezzar’s god.  As punishment, these three young men faced a fiery furnace.  But they knew that true faith could deliver them out one way or another.  Either they would not be killed and live to see another day on Earth or they would be delivered into Heaven to be with the Lord forever.  In today’s society it is becoming politically correct to acknowledge all religions as equally valid.  Elder David encourages us to not cave to other gods but stand firm with true faith.  He reminds us that Jesus faced a furnace like no other when he bled and died on the cross for us, a furnace that contained the full wrath of God.  God is worthy of standing up for.
