Elder Marty Hoskins – Our Nation

Posted on by in Deuteronomy, Sermons

Elder Marty Hoskins delivers an eye-opening sermon with regards to the nation we live in.  He defines what it is to be a good nation, one that is looking to God by looking to Deuteronomy 28:1-2.  “And it shall come to pass, if thou shalt hearken diligently unto the voice of the LORD thy God, to observe and to do all his commandments which I command thee this day, that the LORD thy God will set thee on high above all nations of the earth:  And all these blessings shall come on thee, and overtake thee, if thou shalt hearken unto the voice of the LORD thy God.”  Elder Marty cautions that the Lord can judge a nation based on the righteous in her borders, and he charges us to keep our sights on the Lord.  But in the midst of all the turmoil that may come our way, we are encouraged to know that we have a hope of a great kingdom on high.
