Elder Chris Crouse – Romans: Paul’s Systematic Theology, Chapter 1, Part 3, The Gospel Is The Power Of God Unto Salvation

Elder Chris returns to Romans 1 and looks at verses 16 and 17.  The gospel is the account of the death of the Lord Jesus Christ.  The Romans chose the manner of death that Jesus would face, which was the most humiliating and shameful way to die.  That type of death was what we deserved.  While His death is foolishness to the unbeliever, it is something the child of God glories in as it is a reminder of salvation He has so freely given.
