Elder Tim Lawrence – The Spirit of Power, Love, and a Sound Mind

Paul reminds Timothy that God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind. Elder Tim explains that fear is one of Satan’s primary tactics, but the child of God has the power of Christ within. Christ gives us the strength to do His will, so we have no need to fear. Elder Tim points to the Old Testament as a reminder of God’s power. Just as God was present in those mighty moments of the past, He is with us today. It is God’s good pleasure to give us eternal life—and that truth should encourage and strengthen us for the days ahead.
