Elder Chris Crouse – Good Works

Elder Chris reflects on the eighth article of faith: “We believe that good works and obedience to the commands of God are well pleasing in His sight and should be maintained; but they are to be considered only as evidence of a gracious state and are not a condition for eternal salvation.” He cautions that salvation by grace alone should not be seen as a license to freely sin. Rather, the love of God constrains us, and it should be our desire to please the Lord, knowing all that He has done for us.
