Elder Adam Green – Joseph's Bones

Joseph made his family promise that they would not bury his body and take his bones with them when they leave Egypt.  This may have been confusing to them as they had it good in Egypt at the time.  But Joseph knew that Egypt was not their home.  God promised Abraham that his nation would be in a strange land for 400 years and would be delivered.  As time went on Joseph’s bones became a tremendous encouragement to his people in the depth of slavery.  And just as Joseph’s bones gave hope to them, Jesus’s risen body gives great hope to us.  A hope of a new land where we will live forever in peace with God.
