Elder Chris Crouse – A Pastor’s Concerns
Elder Chris points out the church of Colossi were falling victim to heresy, believing that any material object was sinful. The Apostle Paul was concerned that by embracing this the church would conclude that Jesus was sinful or Jesus did not come in bodily form. The pastor at the church pointed out that this thinking was present in the city and the church was in danger. In learning of this issue, the Apostle Paul wrote this epistle. He knew the best way to defend the truth was to make sure the church understood the truth.
