Elder Chris Crouse – Deacons

The word deacon is found for the first time in the New Testament in Philippians where the Apostle Paul addresses the church, bishop and deacons. Elder Chris explains the role of the deacon. While the pastor’s role is primarily serving the church for their spiritual needs, the deacons serve the church for their natural needs. He especially calls out the work of taking care of the widows of the church, the fatherless, protecting the peace of the church, and those in need.
