Elder Chris Crouse – Is It Lawful to Heal on the Sabbath?
In Matthew 12, before Christ heals a man’s hand, he asks is it lawful to heal on the sabbath day? Since the Pharisees were so focused on the letter of the law rather than the spirit of the law, they could not rejoice in the works of the Lord Jesus Christ. Elder Chris cautions not to be a legalist, but to realize we are sinners deserving of hell. But thankfully Christ knows how broken we are, enwraps us in his care, and heals us despite our sins.
