Elder Chris Crouse – John 5:2
Elder Chris looks at John 5 verse 2 “Now there is at Jerusalem by the sheep market a pool, which is called in the Hebrew tongue Bethesda, having five porches.” Bethesda means the house of mercy or kindness. Elder Chris points out this house was beside a sheep market and he compares this market to how Christ has purchased us. There was great mercy and kindness present also. In our nature we were sinful, wicked, and unloving towards God, but Jesus took care of his sheep, loving us anyway.
