Elder Chris Crouse – Our Mediator
Elder Chris considers the Apostle Paul’s instruction to Timothy that there was one God and one mediator between God and men. He then turns to Job’s life. God asked Satan if he had considered His servant Job. Satan thought he only served God because of all the things God blessed him with. When that was taken away, Job said “the Lord gave, and the Lord hath taken away; blessed be the name of the Lord.” When Satan later inflicted his health, Job wrote complaints of his situation. Job could not see that his mediator understood his circumstances, and was also acceptable to the everlasting God. Elder Chris beautifully lays out how Christ fills this much needed role.
