Elder Chris Crouse – The Rod of God
Elder Chris recalls the sermon from Elder Ronald at our February meeting “Who Cannot Keep Those?” Elder Chris explains that the children of Israel came to Micah scoffing God for expecting anything of them. But Micah speaks on behalf of God that He had already shown them what is good and what is required of them, to do justly, love mercy, and walk humbly with thy God, which they were not doing. He then tells them to hear the rod. They certainly had felt the rod through affliction, but now they were to hear it, none other than the Lord Jesus Christ. Elder Chris looks at several aspects of the rod of God throughout the Bible.
