Elder Chris begins by looking at the many troubles of the church at Corinth. They were elevating the minister above what he truly was, a man. They were having drunken feasts at the communion service. But the most severe was that they were denying the resurrection of our bodies from the dead on that great day. The Apostle Paul declares that Christ died for our sins, was buried, and rose again the third day, and this is according to the word of God. He explains that if there be no resurrection, then Christ did not rise either, and therefore all preaching would be in vain. Elder Chris proclaims that the second coming of The Lord should be the theme of our church and the theme of our lives as well.
