The church at Philippi was concerned about the Apostle Paul being in prison. He tells them being in prison has not limited God. His purpose, whether in life or death, will magnify Christ. He lays out that life is not easy, filled with tribulation, and instructs them to let their conversation be in a way that magnifies Christ. To do this he teaches to stand fast in one spirit, with one mind striving together for the faith of the gospel, and in nothing terrified by their adversaries.
